Getting Started
Downloading the app
DubCam is live on the App Store and Google Play. Sign in with Apple, Google, or create an account with your email. The app is free to download.
Creator approval timeline
Most creators are approved within 24–48 hours. Team and program accounts onboarded through concierge are typically approved same-day. You'll receive an email when your account is cleared to go live.
Your first stream
Tap "Go Live" in the app, set a stream title (e.g., "Morning Lift — Tuesday"), and hit start. Aim for 15 minutes of something specific. Don't worry about production value; raw is the point.
Profile setup
Your profile is the public-web page fans see when they tap your DubCam link. Add a clear photo, your bio, sport, team affiliation, and any social links. Programs get a branded landing page during concierge onboarding.
Streaming
What equipment do I need?
Just your phone. The DubCam app handles encoding, adaptive bitrate, and the stream itself. No OBS, no capture card, no studio.
What to stream
The 350 days around the game. Lifts, locker room moments, drill work, post-game reactions, Q&As, film breakdowns. Avoid streaming full games you don't have broadcast rights to.
How long should a stream be?
15 minutes is a great starting point. The goal is consistency more than duration — a 20-minute stream every Tuesday outperforms a 3-hour stream once a month.
External camera or microphone?
Pair a Bluetooth mic for better audio. Connect an external camera over USB-C on supported iPhones. Native OBS / desktop streaming is on the roadmap; today, streams are phone-first.
Payouts
When exactly do I get paid?
On the 1st of each month. Your share transfers directly to the bank account you link in the Earnings tab inside the app.
Linking your bank
Open the Earnings tab in the app and tap "Link bank account." You'll provide your legal name, address, and bank routing details for identity verification. Until your bank is linked, earnings accumulate but can't be withdrawn.
Is there a payout minimum?
No minimum threshold. Your first earned dollar will be in your next 1st-of-the-month payout.
Taxes and 1099 forms
You'll receive a 1099-K if your annual payouts cross the IRS reporting threshold. DubCam doesn't withhold taxes — that's between you and your accountant.
Account
Can I switch who I support?
Yes. Your subscription price stays the same. Whichever creator you're currently supporting is the one your share routes to that month. Switch inside the app.
Canceling a subscription
Cancel inside the app at any time. The subscription stops at the end of the current billing cycle, and you'll keep access until that date.
Deleting your account
Visit /delete-account/ for the full data-deletion process. Personal data is purged within 30 days; financial records retain only what's required by tax law.
Password and sign-in
If you signed up with email and password, reset via "Forgot password" on the login screen. If you signed up with Apple, use the Apple sign-in flow.
Content & Safety
What content is allowed?
Sports content tied to a real athlete, team, or program. See the full community guidelines for what's encouraged and what isn't.
Music and copyright
Stream music you own, licensed, or that's royalty-free. Don't rebroadcast full college or pro games you don't own rights to. Repeated DMCA strikes lead to account suspension.
Reporting content or a user
Tap the … menu on any stream, profile, or chat message to report. Reports route directly to the trust & safety team. We acknowledge most reports within 24 hours.
Youth athlete rules
Accounts associated with athletes under 18 have direct messaging disabled. Coaches and program directors verify parental consent for minors on team accounts. Streams featuring minors must focus on athletics — no private-residence settings.
Tech & Devices
iOS requirements
iOS 16 and above. Tested on iPhone 12 and newer for streaming; older devices can watch but may not stream reliably.
Android availability
DubCam is live on Google Play. Android 10 and above is supported. Same features as iOS — go live, support a creator, watch streams, get paid.
Streaming connection issues
Most streaming problems trace to network conditions. Use Wi-Fi when possible; on cellular, 5G or strong LTE works best. If a stream drops mid-broadcast, the app reconnects automatically. Persistent issues — email info@dubcam.tv with your device model and approximate time.
Playback problems
If a live stream or replay won't load, force-quit and reopen the app. If the issue persists, check your internet connection and try again. Still broken — email info@dubcam.tv.
Still stuck?
Email info@dubcam.tv with as much detail as you can — your handle, device, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Replies usually come within one business day.
